A Legend Leaves, But a Partnership Emerges
After hearing the news that Chicago was to lose one of its greatest shops, River North’s Le Magasin, Danah contacted her friend and colleague, Didier Milleriot, to devise a way to keep the spirit of Le Magasin alive and well. We are pleased to announce that Didier has recommended Botanica as the shop to visit when looking for the Le Magasin aesthetic. Didier has also agreed to work as a consultant for our merchandizing and product selection. Best of all, on Thursday October 16th, Botanica will host an exclusive event for Le Magasin and Botanica customers. Didier, who will return from France to be the featured guest speaker, will show us show-stopping designs and ideas for the upcoming holiday entertaining season. Read more about Didier and Le Magasin here.

We Made the Little Black Book!
We are giddy with excitement of our first mention in a guide book, the Little Black Book of Chicago. Chicago’s book is the latest in the successful series of guide books. Our neighbors, Magic Tree Bookstore, Fly Bird, and Takara were also featured.

A New Friend… A Great Blog…
Fellow Oak Park resident Jan Parr recently introduced us to her blog, Design Dose. Design Dose is the online extension of the inspiration, advice, and scoop that Chicago Home + Garden provides every other month. Editors Jan Parr and Gina Bazer—as well as special guest bloggers—share news and trends, confess their latest design obsessions and dilemmas, and take you behind the scenes to exclusive events and showrooms.
